Our experience in the field of CPD has given i-Sizeze Africa the edge in the development of CPD Policy

CPD – a Statutory Requirement or not?

To gain status as a Professional Body, a Continuous Professional Development Framework needs to be submitted to SAQA. A Professional body might be statutory, in which case the implementation of CPD is legislated and compulsory.

In the many cases where a Professional Body might be non statutory, the challenge lies in getting members to adhere to the  CPD requirements as per the guidelines.

A structured and attractive CPD Policy offering with incentives will encourage the member to not only embrace CPD but to value it as a crucial role in Professional Development.

Why would CPD be implemented and what is the benefit?

  • It motivates your workforce and promotes the image of the organisation.
  • Maximising staff potential by linking ‘need for company orientated learning’ to actions and theory in practise.
  • HR will link SMART (Specific, measureable, achievable, realistic and time bound) objectives to in house training and closer to the business needs.
  • Promotes staff development to create a positive work environment.
  • Links to appraisals – CPD is a handy tool to assist employees to focus on their achievements.
