Gerda Evans

Mrs Gerda Evans started i-Sizeze Africa in 2012, following an extensive career in marketing, event planning, facilitation and diplomacy.

She holds a B.Com degree in Marketing and Economics, has served the Department of Foreign Affairs in Mozambique and on the African Desk, where her organizational skills were enhanced and her knowledge of African relations developed.

During her term as Events Director at I Events Africa (Pty) Ltd., she directed the State banquets hosted by South Africa for President Bill Clinton of the United States, President Jacques Chiraq of France and their Majesties, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain.

A sabbatical in Swaziland presented Gerda with the opportunity for appointment as Public Relations Manager for MTN Swaziland. In addition, she spearheaded the funding of a European Community Tourism Project in the Swaziland hills.

Following the period in Swaziland, she returned to South Africa in 2012 and joined i-Sizeze Africa where she has been introduced to many facets of the Built Environment (BE). Working with various Built Environment statutory councils, it generated an intense interest in Training and Development in the Built Environment. She has expanded her knowledge into the Skills development Landscape.

In her capacity as Director of i-Sizeze Africa, Gerda developed a SAQA aligned Mentorship program and spearheads a current initiative for other Councils to acknowledge and endorse the Candidate phase program.
