Professor Raymond Nkado

Professor Raymond Nkado is a well-respected academic who for many years has been involved in Built Environment tertiary education.

A Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager by profession, he holds an M.Sc and PhD in Construction Management and an MBA cum laude.

He has served on numerous Boards and Councils in a senior executive capacity which included Chairmanship of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), appointment as Executive Dean in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (FEBE) at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), election as President of the S A Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) and President of the S A Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).

His many awards include the Texaco Company Full Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement, the Old Mutual Gold Medal for the best MBA graduate (part-time study) and the meritorious Commonwealth Scholarship for his excellent PhD .
